Shades of Plaid is now available. It took longer than expected, however I am now beside myself with joy because the book is out. Being besides oneself is not all it’s cracked up to be. I might start arguing with myself in a bit. In the meantime, here are ways to get to the book.

…have never heard of this website! That’s okay. Perhaps someday someone will contact them and they can stop by and give me a few pointers. My name is Jonathan Harvey. I am known online a jissilly. I would tell you more about myself, but then you wouldn’t have any reason to check out the “Who is Jissilly” tab. Wouldn’t that be sad? Well it would be for me.
The main reason I developed (contrary to my wife’s belief) was not so I would have another reason to ignore my family. I developed the website is because I wrote a book. The name of the book is Shades of Plaid: A Very Unconventional Weekly Journey into Christian Living. The book is now available. I believe you will find my book extremely different from any other Christian Book you might have read. I highly recommend getting a copy for everyone you know and even people you never met. I would go into the book more here, but if you are at all observant you should have noticed that there is a “Shades of Plaid” tab. I didn’t make those pages for nothing.
I don’t plan to spend all my time talking about the book. I made this website the one stop shop for current jissilly creativity. You can check out the “Word of the Day”, which is a short pseudo-inspirational message designed to make you smile. I update the “Word of the Day” Monday through Friday (excluding six holidays during the year, hey I need to pay attention to my family sometime.) I also have the “latest story” which is updated once a week usually on Thursdays. On Tuesday there will be a new “Under the Plaid Rainbow” which is a one panel comic collaboration between myself and my friend Joleene Naylor. On Friday Joleene and I update a magna strip called “The Terrible Turtle Conspiracy” which will soon be found at “Terrible Turtle Dot Com”. With all this cool stuff going on, I can’t think of any reason why you wouldn’t make this your favorite website.
I’ve talked about all the other tabs. I might as well mention that last two. “Jissilly’s Updates” is a tab that will lead to a blog that will be updated periodically at random. I hope to promote my book with this blog, but in order to keep thing interesting I will be posting fun things in here too. Who knows, I may invite a creative friend or two to stop in and share something. “Tell me what you think” is a guest book. I really am interested in what you think. As long as I am going to have a website, I want to have one that is fun for most everyone.
